Kinderhaus Sonnenblume AG is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team in Zürich. The successful candidate will provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for children aged 4–6 years while promoting their academic, social, emotional, and physical development.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, values creativity and inclusion, and is passionate about supporting each child's individual learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging daily lessons aligned with the Swiss early childhood curriculum.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and child-centered classroom environment.

• Foster children's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development.

• Organize educational activities, games, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor learning.

• Monitor student progress and maintain developmental records.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's learning and wellbeing.

• Ensure classroom safety and maintain high hygiene standards.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff.

• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

• Support children with different learning needs and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.

• Recognized teaching qualification accepted in Switzerland.

• Fluent German (minimum B2/C1 level).

• English is considered an advantage.

• Valid work authorization for Switzerland or eligibility to obtain one.

Preferred

• 2+ years of kindergarten teaching experience.

• First Aid certification.

• Knowledge of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or play-based learning approaches.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
